1. Your Gear

Belt: Guns hang on your hips. Use the bottom trigger to grab them. Use the top trigger to put them away over your right shoulder. Put bigger guns (like rifles) on your right shoulder.

Hands: You can carry two items (like grenades or food) in your hands.

  • Food: Hold food to your mouth to eat and heal.
  • Zombie Parts: You can throw arms or legs! Throw them to distract zombies or play fetch with Buddy.

2. Buddy (Your Dog)

Commands: Press the interaction button (like B) to tell Buddy to attack or stop (a symbol shows his state). Press it again to call him back.

Backpack: Reach out and grab a gun on Buddy to swap it with your own. He carries extra weapons.

Helmet: You can put helmets you find on yourself or on Buddy for protection.

Fetch: Throw things (even zombie parts) and say "Fetch" – Buddy will go get them.

3. Using Weapons

Revolver:

  • Shoot all bullets.
  • Press A to open it and empty unused bullets.
  • Press A again to close it.
  • Important: You lose any bullets left inside if you don't empty it first!

Shotgun: Hold it with two hands. Pull the lever up and down to reload after shooting.

Magazine Guns (like Uzi): When you reload, you keep any bullets left in the old magazine. Just drop the old one.

General: Shoot zombies in the limbs to disable them.

4. Exploring & Items

Search: Always check cars, bins, and corners for extra ammo and items.

Supply Crates (Lunch Boxes):

  • Find special parts (like gears or valves) around the map.
  • Pick them up and hold them against your chest to "equip" them.
  • Take them to supply crates to unlock permanent bonuses. Make sure you have enough!

Mines:

  • Place them near zombie spawn points.
  • You can't carry them with you.
  • Recover unused mines: Bring both hands together near the mine to pick it up again.

5. DLC & Tips

Special Buddy skins can be turned on in the options menu (they look scary).

Use thrown items and mines to handle big groups of zombies. Buddy is great help in fights.

Keep Buddy safe and use his attack command wisely.
