ZyberVR 3W U-Shaped IR Light with 855nm Wavelength

It works extremely well with the meta quest 3. In lower light conditions it has no trouble any more at all to determine the borders detecting the floor, walls and obstacles. Simple plug and play. It's a very good upgrade and should actually come standard with the meta quest 3. Thank you!

I play on a Meta Quest 3 and the controller tracking isn't amazing compared to the 2 or Pro. This IR light helps. I feel like it gives a little boost to the tracking in any situation, normal or low light. As a bonus I can use it in the dark on the high setting and the controllers still track pretty well. It does get really hot, but I think that's the nature of IR light. I've used it with a head-strap battery plugged in and and it doesn't allow the headset to rapid charge, but still charges ok. I have a ZyberVR neck power bank and it plugs in nicely to that without using the headset battery and the position is still good, right out in front of you.

I'm trying this little led. Works very well (Quest 2 tracks even in complete dark!), but it consumes headset battery quicker than playing without it.
I tried to mount it outside of my Quest 2 (directly in some cell phone chargers I already had) but this IR led doesn't seem to work in this mode. Works only if powered from the Quest USB-C socket.
