What is the Game?

Important Game Systems & Controls

1. Weapons (Learn to Switch)

• Laser: Long-range. Best for damaging enemy shields. Aim with the right thumbstick.
• Blaster Cannon: Short-range. Best for damaging enemy hull (the ship itself).
• Missiles: Fly very far and damage both shields and hull well. But you only have a few; find more by defeating enemies or collecting resources.

2. Moving & Looking Around

• Use your ship's thrusters to move.
• Time slows down when you are planning a move.
• Press the grip buttons to move your view closer, farther away, or look around the area. This is very useful!

3. Finding & Collecting Stuff

• Use your scanner to find resources (like scrap metal), enemy ships, rocks, and floating wreckage. The scanner has a long range.
• Fly close to resources and collect them (salvage). This usually happens automatically or with a simple action.
• The main resource you collect is Scrap. This acts as money to buy upgrades.

4. Getting Stronger

• Collect Scrap from enemies, rocks, and floating objects.
• Use Scrap in the Ship Components Menu to buy upgrades, new weapons (like drones), and other improvements for your ship.
• You might also find traders to buy things from.

Important Things to Remember

• Do the Tutorial: It teaches you the basics of fighting, moving, scanning, and collecting. Pay attention to switching weapons!
• Follow the Signal: The main story is about finding where the Ghost Signal comes from.
• Your Base: You return here to analyze the signal. Some important systems (like long-distance travel) are broken at the start.
• Death is Part of the Game: Don't get upset if you die. Each time you play, you earn experience to unlock perks and upgrades, making your next try easier.
